Sainte Chapelle - built in 6 years (compared to 200 yrs for Notre Dame). The altar was raised up at the front of the church as the church was built around the Crown of Thorns which Louis IX purchased for 3 times as much as the church cost to build. The Crown is stored in the Notre Dame Treasury and only shown on Fridays during Lent. Amazing.
